 Acoustic Board with Foil Insert

Description:

                 Nautica IMO RMW with Foil Insert is an excellent sound absorbing and moderate transmission loss acoustic insulation.   A 2 mil aluminum foil insert adds a respectable T/L to the product, to help prevent the passage of sound from one compartment to its neighboring compartment.  The IMO RMW facing is a reinforced polyester film facing that provides both a vapor barrier and is resistant to hydrocarbons and most chemicals.

 

                 This product provides significant weight and cost savings over lead insert products.

 

                 To meet USCG and IMO requirements, the installer shall insert one layer of foil faced insulation board, and then install a second layer of IMO RMW faced hullboard. 

 

                 Installation is with insulation pins and clips, and joints can be covered with fiberglass lagging tape or a matching reinforced polyester tape.
