Nautica IMO RMW Acoustic Board with Lead Insert |
|
Description: Nautica IMO RMW with Lead Insert is an excellent sound absorbing and high transmission loss acoustic insulation. An 1 psf lead insert adds significant transmission loss to the product, to help prevent the passage of sound from one compartment to its neighboring compartment. The IMO RMW facing is a reinforced polyester film facing that provides both a vapor barrier and is resistant to hydrocarbons and most chemicals.
To meet USCG and IMO requirements, the lead is installed between a layer of plain hullboard and a layer of IMO RMW faced hullboard.
Installation is with insulation pins and clips, and joints can be covered with fiberglass lagging tape or a matching reinforced polyester tape. |
